Is the sequel to 'The Getaway' really all that great?
Gamplay- The gameplay in this game is alright. You can do the missions, side work, or do free roam. Missions are the best thing to stick with. Free roam in the game is kinda boring, because killing peds aren't all that fun on this, and just driving around the bland city can get boring too. The chase missions are alright but they get boring after you do about, lets say, 1. The shooting and driving in the game is really nice, and traffic moves faster than the stuff in the original Getaway, making it easy to dodge. The siren in the game barely even helps, so you almost don't have to both turning it on to dodge traffic.
Missions- The missions in this game are a lot better than those in the original game. They consist mostly of just shooting lots of people, or driving pretty far distances. The storyline for them is near impossible to understand. The characters talk way too fast, and the story skips around a lot. I honestly couldn't tell you most of it. This game got more away from driving and more to on foot shooting, which is what I like more.
Graphics- The graphics in this are pretty good. Buildings can be made out well, cars are easy to see, and licence plates are also really clear. Spotting enemies is easy with the graphics, too. They kinda look clay-like, but they still get the job done.
I highly suggest renting this game before buying it, because you'll most likely get bored after a few missions.
