The Getaway has a pretty great story through itself, but the game makes you want to experience the cutscenes only.
-Great story
-Great voice acting
-Good graphics
-Messing with London is fun
-Interesting characters
Cons:
-Shootuts can be either too hard or too easy, but never in between
-Strange controlling
-No camera control
-Auto aiming isn't very fun
Hey, i got this game for free. I can't really complain about a game i didn't pay for. I got it for free at Gamestop where they had buy two used games, get one free sale. Weird thing is though that the free game you get has to be under the lowest amount you pay for a 1 of the used games. And the lowest one i got was $5. So i got The Getaway, and well, not too happy with it. I didn't have too much fun with The Getaway since its difficulty made the game more a chore than a pass time. The person you play also has no camera control to them, so expect some awkard angles here and there. Plus, no self aiming is a bummer; auto aiming is just no fun. But The Getaway has a well-written story with some pretty interesting and realistic characters. Even on the PS2, you can still find life. I mean The Getaway is not a shining example, but if you look deep into it, i find some fun to have running amok throughout London. A definate rent or if you also get it free, its ok then. But i wouldn't spend too much on it, cause its not that funll of life. But the positives overall outweigh the negatives; but just barely.
