The Godfather makes an ambitious entry into the gaming world with its highly addictive gameplay and its immersive storyline. In The Godfather you assume the role of a kid whose father was slain by a Corleone rival gang. The don takes care of you many years later, once your all grown up, and offers you a job in his organized crime family where you rise your way through the ranks until you eventually become Don of NY. The storyline follows that of the three Godfather movies and gives your created-character a chance to take part in the main plot of the movies. Its a great idea but it makes for a brief game. Once your done there really is no reason to continue playing- giving it a low replay value. The game stands on its own two feet but when compared to the GTA series it just falls short. Still, the game is definately worth playing.
