Fun, Terrific and, an all-around well made game true to the Godfather films/

User Rating: 9.7 | The Godfather PS2
I love this game! It is a lot of fun to play and I liked the fact that the learning curve for this game was very quick. Some might criticize EA for making a game that relies on many of the same controls as the GTA series but, I say to hell with that. If the formula works why mess with success? The game and the film elements mix very well together and I love the fact that you can actually be a part of the animated recreations of some of the most memorable and powerful scenes in cinema history. The storyline is rich and I like the side missions like, exortions, taking over rackets, hits, etc., they make for a game that is diverse and does not stagnate easily. Unlike the GTA games, which I liked very much, this game is a lot more enjoyable from a driving perspective in that it take much less time to travel from one place to another. The game is moderately difficult but not the hardest game I've played by any stretch of the imagination but that is okay sometimes when a game that is this rich in components, like this game is, sacrifices game difficulty for an all-around outstanding offering. One complaint that I have with this game, the only reason that I didn't give it a ten, was the fact that the game responds clumsily in times of quick player reaction. For example, sometimes men charging around the corner cannot be locked on to quickly enough resulting in huge health losses. But honestly, it is not enough to tear me away from this game. A true PS2 classic!
