SUCKISH! I expected as much. A history geek should never try to make a video game, becuase they don't know people like.

This game is so cheesy and suckish, it was not worth buying! THe way people die, the uniforms, and the weapons are soooooo similar to one another a lot of times I get the weapons messed up! The graphics are good, and the accuracy of teh info. is good, but the game itself is awful. Am I the only person who noticed that you can shoot an enemy multiple times and they just stand there looking stupid? The constant effects of enemies shooting you through the trees and buildings takes a heavy toll on your life. The way the character sink to their knees when shot makes me think of a 60's war movie. The cannons and gatning guns are cool, but the game would be much beter if the enviroment was totally destructable! I shot a church ten times in Selma and it didn't even leave a mark! Plus, you have no command over anything: no bodyguards, no troops under you, etc. Plus, you never get to attack in the final charge at the end of each battle. You meet up with your commander, he says "Good news, blah blah blah, time to wipe them out, blah blah blah," and the game skips right ahead to the story again! You do all that work taking out their defenses and you don't get teh good stuff! Plus you never get reinforcement and you troops are useless: they all die in one shot and you areo on you own! Before I finish this review, let's just say, I don't know why I just wasted the past 15 mn typing it!
