Shoot some Mother z.. Mutants
The voice acting is truly what makes this game. I'm not sure if anyone can recall a true grindhouse movie. (closest to come to a true comparison would actually be the grindhouse movies released by Quintin Tarrentino a while ago) I have seen a couple from the 70's, and the amount of F-bombs in the game is bang on. Music in the game is great. It really brings you into the times, and reflects the game.
Now the Wii is not a powerhouse, and everyone knows it, but I don't think this would be any better on the PS3, or the Xbox 360. For a true gritty experience the Wii is the perfect fit. I would to another one for the Wii, same style, it just worked so well for the series.
My only real issue with the game is it is short. Yes I realize that for it to work properly it needs to be short, but maybe a longer directors cut would have been nice, or even a couple of extra "chapters" could have been left out the first time through. The weapon choices were great also, but I still don't see myself using the minigun, except in the last chapter where it's provided. It just too slow to start, and if you over heat, ouch is all I can say.
I brought up House of the dead 2&3 that were released last year, and after playing through Overkill, I decided what the hell lets go back, and try them out one more time. UGH is all I can say, I can see why they needed to really take it a different direction this time. If they stuck with that formula it would have just tossed the franchise in the dumps. With this I am really looking forward to another of these.
Great game I recommend for anyone with a gun. (Also recommend the Nyko perfect shot for this game)
