The Lawnmower Man plays like most other movie liscense games; it sucks, it looks ugly, and it's broken.

User Rating: 2 | The Lawnmower Man GEN
The good: It's based upon the movie
The bad: Graphical presentation has no achievement, music is shallow, the controls are actrocious, the first part has you moving in a first person kind of view, which is broken, the second part is a weird side scrolling shooting level, boring after you first play it

If you have ever seen the movie based on the short story by Stephen King, you'll notice this has barely anything to do with the movie, except it has the same title and characters. The differences between the movie and this game are that the movie was decent, and this game is broken. The main problem of the game is that Atod didn't take advantage of the Genesis's superior graphics and music, and put it into a uncompleted like atmosphere.

Let me give you the first part of the game first. Apparently, you are a man sticking his purple arms out for no reason in a first person kind of view. you must avoid walls and get to the exit. That's basically it. This part looks terrible, and the controls are actrocious. I guarantee you'll hit a wall at least twice in this level. The music is also annoying, with faliure tracks providing loads of crap for your eardrums.

The 2nd part consists of you shooting this monkey faced guys in a side scrolling view. The graphics are even worse. The music is even more actrocious because Atod didn't make a proper soundtrack.

The Lawnmower Man plays like most other movie liscense games; it sucks, it looks uglu, and it's broken. This is a disgrace to the movie, and a disgrace to many Genesis games, it being one of the worst. Overall, do not play this game at all, it's some of the most graphically disasterious pieces of crap.
