Gamespot has been smashing these legend of hero games everytime as there mostly the same and mostly the same kind of rpg story you would find in Japan. That doesn't mean its a bad game! This games main characters are Forte 14 Una 14 Mcbane like 61 and his dog. Yah I thought the dog was a bit messed to but anyway lol. The games graphics are preety top notch. However when monsters or characters overlap they become glitchy for some reason which didn't happen in the others. Other then that, its quiet nice to look at and play with colorful images of characters. The game offers the same gameplay before but adds spells through stones this time instead of learning them through leveling up. This is good and bad. Good part you can switch the stones to give whatever character you want that spell. Bad part the spells can only be used with Forte,Una and Mcbane and leaves side characters with no magic at all sometimes but still have mp oddly enough. The game offers the same running into enemies and you battle and traveling from town to town with some catchy music, to some quiet horrible town music you most likly will just turn your sound off. The story involves mcbane getting a map to these stones that are connected to music and so he goes to travel with his grandson and his friend to find these stones to play a melody of a song. This game is focused on music this time and has some small song in it but nothing amazing. Some of the flute solo's by una are quiet good. Sadly being the same means they lack improvements! I still have no states screen to view characters however! The game has added a picture book in which you find chests with there orbs and shows you pics of characters of there art work. Its preety lame in a sense but at least they added it. Also you can view art work of the other games as well. Speaking of that this game offers a bonus area to battle from pasted games and get bonus characters like avin and mile and others. This will be a big bonus for fans of the series and even if you don't own the other games you can just get a save file from a site and add it to your psp to get it. All you need is a save file from the other games right before the final boss to unlock history, characters, extra stages to level up,picture book of pasted images. This helps you level up if you need to and is quiet fun. All new characters start at lvl 1 which is good as you can retry areas with different characters so your not always overleveled so to speak. The controls and menu are almost all the same in this game so don't expect anything new there. I find these games are ment for people who enjoyed the other games and want a game with the same sort of material. If you want bran new stuff complelty well this game isn't for you. I enjoyed it alot because of how I enjoyed the series the way it was, so its up to you how you judge this game.
