I can only compare this game with the old Final Fantasy games. Personally I this type of battle system a lot better than Final Fantasy I and II. However, when you play The Legend of Heroes you can see that it was inspired by the Final Fantasy series because of the similarities of magic types and attacks. However the environment is much better than both Final Fantasy I and II but as a psp game they should have taken advantage of the graphics power of the system. This is great game to just pick up and play for a few hours during downtime. The story pushes you along if you care about it and the soundtrack is great.

  Beginner to the genre or not, Legend Of Heroes is an entertaining old-school RPG that almost anyone should check out.
