This game brings a breath of fresh air to the over-the-top game style that's taking control of the newer RPGs.

This game brings the old-style battle system back into play, finally. The graphics are unbelievably crisp and beautiful. The control scheme is top notch and the music really brings you into the game. There are a few problems with the language translation, but it's minor and does nothing to dull the game. I'm a fan of the traditional battle systems found in the early Final Fantasy days and this title hits the mark. I've finally found a new game with new game flash that adhered to the old game battle style. This game will be bought, sold and traded amongst gamers for years to come because of its familiar, time-tested control scheme and its enjoyable playability.
The only reason I gave this game an 8 instead of a 10 is simply because it's not going to appeal to those who don't enjoy the traditional turn-based combat in their RPG and the hiccups in the english translation of the text. Myself, I love turn-based combat in a portable game. As for consoles, I like first-person-perspective combat. But, this is a portable game, and the turn-based, old-school style suits it fine.
