Ah, memories. A very refreshing blast to the past.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is definitely one of my all-time favorite SNES games. When I saw Four Swords Adventures for the first time I jumped at the opportunity to see if Nintendo could actually give me that nice old school feeling with the graphics style used. They succeeded brilliantly. Not only are the puzzles and secrets challening, but the combat is kinda tough too. The games difference is that Link has found the Four Sword which can duplicate him three times, so in this game, the player gets to fight with four Links instead of one. This makes for far more interesting puzzles and challenges. It also diversifies combat and makes it more challenging, since group formations and certain moves will be more effective in certain areas. The graphics have been slightly enhanced, but the style used adds alot to the game and make a ton more room for Nintendo to add more levels and more substance to the game, rather than wasting their time trying to make the graphics as groundbreaking as they can. I would say for any Zelda fans this is a must buy for a return to old school. Everyone else, I would say rent it and see if you like it, but without playing Link to the Past and appreciating the franchise, you probably won't. Great Game.
