Incredible sequel to the N64 masterpiece.

Majora's Mask is an excellent followup to Ocarina of Time. MM does not try to cash in on the fanbase by just recycling past games. The storyline is all new and original. Although it is a little slow at the start the game quickly becomes addictive and you once again find yourself staying up on those late schoolnights trying to save Clock Town from the Skull Kid's mischief. Gameplay is not a clone of OOT, although it uses the same engine. While putting in the gameplay elements of OOT, the devs added something new and addictive: mask collecting. Masks play a key role in MM as they can transform you into a person of another race (Goron, Zora, Deku Scrub) while others help you progress through the game or its other immersive sidequests. Also, instead of having all the time in the world to go about and explore like you could in Ocarina of Time, here you have only 3 days (not measured in real time) to stop the Skull Kid and the Moon from annihilating everyone. Although the models are the same from OOT most are not the same characters. Some old favorites actually make a re-appearance such as the Happy Mask Salesman, Epona, and the Skull Kid (although not 100% sure if it -is- the same skull kid from the lost woods). This is a worthy sequel to the game before it and definately earns my respect.
9.7/10 Not 100% as good as OOT but pretty damn close. And a bit underrated to boot.
