A top sequal to one of the greatest games ever.

User Rating: 9.8 | Zelda no Densetsu: Majora no Kamen (w/Memory Pack) N64
Majora's Mask is one of the only games which is almost equal to its predecessor. Its storyline is completely different to the Ocarina of Time, but still enables the feel that was felt in Ocarina of Time.

The storyline begins from the end of Ocarina, and Link has returned to his original time. He is confronted by a decision that leads him away from Hyrule and to the land Termina. He reaches the town only to discover that there is three days left before the moon collides with the land.

The gameplay has completely changed, and yet still keeps the feel of Ocarina of Time by using existing characters and even the same music (such as Epona's song). However, these characters can play a major role, as they are access to masks, items and weapons to help really complete the game. A new addition to the items list is a notebook. This keeps track of people who have troubles or issues that Link can resolve as a side quest. Then there are the masks. All masks play a crucial role in completing the game as they have different effects on different characters. If you wear a mask and talk to a certain person, there is a possibility that it will aid you to the end. The graphics of the game have been enhanced, comparing it to its predecessor. The main contributor to this is the Expansion Pak that is needed to play the game. The land and dungeons are all new and improved which allows for stunning visuals. Extra detail in all characters have been added also because of the Expansion Pak. Of course the details in the graphics have not been changed to an extreme but still allows for smoothness in gameplay.

The sound of the game sparks a similar theme to Ocarina of Time and even using the same ocarina. However, the role in which it plays is not as big as in the Ocarina of Time. The major use of it is to save your game and return to the start of the three days. The same song is used to call upon Epona and the Song of Time is used to return to the beginning of the three days. Background music takes a turn away from similarity to Ocarina and begins its own themes such as Clock Town, Termina Bay and Termina Field. It shows that the game is unique in its own ways. The sequel of Ocarina of Time is a great game in its own rights, but remains in the shadow of its predecessor. The game seems to try and completely change direction of gameplay to make it more successful than Ocarina of Time but in the end fails. However, for any Zelda fan this is a definite must have for its unique storyline and graphical enhancements.
