It Is A Game That Tries, Successfully, To Be Different

Nintendo obviously boycotted the 'Same game we played last year' for The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask, the sequel to the masterpiece The Legend of Zelda: Orcarnia of Time. Obviously one will ask the question 'How can you top Orcarnia of Time?' the answer is, it doesn't. It becomes a completely different game than the rather formula friendly (or formula creating, whatever you want to call it) Orcarnia instead trying to break the mould with different gameplay, a plot more focused on rescuing a mask rather than a princess, with all those combined together Majoras Mask is a great game on its own merits.

It's great, of course, but not flawless, even with an expansion pak the game can't match the excellent graphics (for the N64) Donkey Kong 64 and the graphics are basically the Orcarnia of Time graphics. And Tingle could've been less annoying, but, judged on it's on merits Majoras Mask is an excellent game
