Majora's Mask is one of the best Zelda games. It takes the great gameplay of OoT and adds a new twisted storyline.
Let's start by talking about gameplay. Same as Ocarina of Time for the controls, but it has completely different dungeons. They are very challenging, but what makes them even harder is the 3-day time limit you are given for each one. If you don't beat it in time, you gotta start ALLLLL over. The only temple I had to restart on was the Water Temple (funny how both OoT and MM have Water Temples that seem like they should go last). Unlike OoT, this game has 4 temples. The reason for that is because the entire game is basically for two thing: To save Clock Tower from Skull Kid and to get all of the masks to help you do so. The mask collecting is one of the funnest (and hardest) parts of the game. If you are looking to get all of the masks, you may have to go online to see how, since there are at least 30 of them, all requiring tedious tasks to get. Luckily, the most useful masks are acquired during the storyline. These masks will turn link into one of the 3 races of Hyrule: Deku Shrub, Goron, and Zora. There is an optional fourth mask (which is the best), but it requires all of the masks and A LOT of skill and patience to acquire. It is called the Fierce Deity Mask, and is explained in the Zelda Majora's Mask Manga (which I suggest reading).
Enough about gameplay, lets talk about graphics. Think about OoT and how revolutionary the graphics were for its time period. Now add a little more detail to Link and a couple of other objects/ characters. The only really nice difference is that the inside of shops aren't just one angle with a crappy background. Now the camera is fully controllable inside and everything has normal graphics. That's about it.
What am I forgetting...OH YA! *Facepalms self for forgetting* The music! I still remember this music from when I was very young, and I can hum every tune from MM and OoT. I always wished we had played the theme song when I was in band :-( I give the music a 1,000,000,000/10. That's right, I went there.
Overall, anyone who rates this under 9.0 is a weirdo, because this game deserves no less than a 10, but I can see where people might not like the 3-day limit or the puzzles if they are more of a shoot-em-up type person.
Hope this review helps anyone looking to buy the game... because everyone should play this game at least ONCE in their lifetime.
