It's not like the other zelda games, but still is fun
The major difference between Ocarina of time and majoras mask is, in Ocarina of time, you could run around and do Whatever you want, but in Majora's mask, you have three 24 hour days to complete the game. Every hour in the game is 1 minute in the real world. To complete it, you have to keep traveling back in time using your ocarina of time. People won't remember you and all, but you will still have beaten the bosses and got their masks(which is what you collect in Majora's Mask), and, you can at anytime replay a level, and the boss.
The story for Majora's mask explains why you must travel back in time. You play as link again, and are traveling away from Hyrule, when you are attacked by Skull Kid, wearing majora's Mask. He and his two fairies' steal Epona and you ocarina. You must then go after him. he then turns you into a Deku child and you must follow him. One of his fairy's is left behind, and for the rest of the game, acts like navi. This fairy (I can't remeber his/her name) knows that she's going back in time etc, and remembers everything. You meet the mask salesman from Ocarina of time, and he says he needs Majora's mask back, for it is a very powerful and evil mask. he says he will turn you back into your normal self if you get it back. You then enter a town where you learn that Skull kid is pulling the moon into the Earth, and you have three days to stop it. get your Ocarina back and become yourslef again, and you must then go to stop Skull Kid.
Collecting Masks is a main part in Majora's mask, you get masks that make you become a Zora, A gorin, and when you are turned back to your normal self, you get a mask to change back to the deku child. These masks have different appilities. eg. As a gorin, you can roll around incredibly fast causing damage to enemies.
Despite all of this, Majora's mask feels a lot more linear than it could be. This isn't necassarilly a bad thing, but if you were a fan of the open endness of OoT, you will probably be dissapointed.
In graphics, Majora's Mask is slightly better then Ocarina of Time, but requires the Expansion Pack. That is good seeing as it helps improve the graphics and such, but it also means more money must be payed to play the game.
the sound featured here is pretty good, but I didn't think it was as good as Ocarina of time, which is why I'm only giving majora's mask a 9 (seeing I gave Ocarina of time's sound a 10, giving Majora's Mask a 10 would seem like It was just as good or better, but I wrote this 2nd and might have given it a 10 had I written it first).
I found a small problem though. There are only two save files, instead of the ussual three. but this isn't very terrible, seeing two is still alright.
Majora's Mask is different to the previous Zelda games in many ways, and while it's not as good as Ocarina of Time, It's still very fun to play.
