After spending 2 years playing this game, I can safely say that there is nothing that comes close. Best game ever.

I know that it has been long since this game was released for Nintendo 64. And almost as long since it has been given credit for the spectactular acheivements and Revolutions it made to action and adventure games. Screw FF7, screw Chrono Cross, Screw Conker, SM64, SoTN, MGS, and any other game that has tried to be called the best game of the previous gen and possibly the best game ever. This is what takes the prize home. I love this game so much, from the time I was a small, fairyless child being called upon by the great Deku Tree, to the time where I was a hero saving a Princess and the world. This game surpassed all expectations of what Zelda in 3D would be like, and what any game would ever be like. They don't make games of this quality anymore, for which I am sad. But someday, I know that there will be more games like this, not just Zelda games, not just games made by Nintendo, but a world of wonderful games like this. Until then, I will countinue playing the 15 hour long games of today that have no sidequests, and hope that that golden age shall come.
