The best game of all times? Yeah right says I!

OoT has some true potential and a gameplay that was both revolutionary and awsomely executed. But it lacks in some ways, the story is not really intriguing nor well told since the most important elements of it is told to the player with only written words on a black background with some flames on it. Link, as allways, lacks personallity which just makes you loose interest in him as a person and the story just seems to be a newthemed version of ALttP. (three tests after medalions/crystals, then you get the mastersword and teleports to another yet similar world where you have to battle through 7 temples... see the connection?) Graphics is great for it's time even though characters are not as detailed as one would have hoped. But all surroundings, temples and such is awsome and you get a true feeling of depth and freedom as you run or ride around in Hyrule...

the music, composed by Koji Kondo is magical even though the limitation of the console. The openingtheme that is played as Link comes riding across the fields in the titlescreen was for a fan such as me very supprising (in a very very very happy way) since it's the old flute tune from the original tLoZ for NES but ofcourse enhenced... Chills went over my back the first time I sat in front of this game. Only thing with the soundtrack that bugs me... where the hell is the classic maintheme?

Controlls are almost perfect except you have no whatsoever controll over the camera and that kinda sucks (although the camera does'nt pick a fight too often)

All in all OoT is a great game full of magic but lacking in storytelling and actual difficulty. I can't really understand people who gives it a ten all the way. It's overrated but good...
