The greatest video game of all time stands the test of time

When "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" was released for the Nintendo 64 system on Nov. 24, 1998, many hailed it as flawless.

It was a breathtaking masterpiece of firsts: The first game with lock-on targeting during battles, the first 3-D "Zelda" game, the first in which day turned into night and back, and the first time protagonist Link could gallop across the landscape by horse.

Perhaps the ultimate tribute is that almost eight years to the day and two console generations later, Nintendo debuted the Wii with essentially an updated "Ocarina" - "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" - as its signature launch title.

It's a no-brainer to purchase and download "Ocarina" through the Wii's Virtual Console, but here are more reasons: Its deep dungeons, plethora of side quests, hummable music, revolutionary camera system and graphics - which stand the test of time.
