The game that inspired me in a career in video games returns as a download, and it hasn't lost a bit of it's charm.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of the games that made the N64 the console of choice. The freedom that it allowed you, the depth of the dungeons, the intense boss battles, and the story that kept you in awe and constant surprise made it one of the better games of it's time. It has now, in all it's glory, returned as a wii shop channel downloadable. And, once again, it kept me playing all the way through the game, once again. Graphics, although through the years they have lost their shine, were not really an issue to me. A good game is a good game, no matter what it looks like. The controls take a bit to get used to now that you'll be playing it with a Gamecube or Wii arcade controller, and it hasn't been changed to accomodate the new controllers, but it doesn't take long to get back to banishing evil like you remember doing it on the N64. The game, in my opinion, felt like it might have lost it's challenge, but that may only apply to those who have previouslly played through the game, and not because the puzzels are a bit dated by todays standards. All in all, it is a wonderful game, that is worth another run through, either by the fans that remember the good ol' days, or by the ones who were never able to play through it in the first place. It is a great addition to ones Wii collection, and i highly reccomend it.
