What else can I say?

User Rating: 10 | The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time N64
There's nothing I can say about Ocarina of Time that's not already been said, but this is the game that defined its respective era for me. What made me the most awe-struck is that it was able to take all the amazing things I'd remembered from A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening (I never owned an NES) and perfectly translate them into a 3D realm while adding all sorts of new inventions and methods of gameplay that literally brought into the next dimension, like Z-targeting. How could you have done that in an older game? You couldn't. It even borrowed things that made the previous games awesome (light and dark worlds) and maybe not so awesome (talking owl). Ocarina of Time was totally recognizable, but it was still such a thrill to be able to see Link as a full character and to use his arsenal in it's full glory, and even long after the initial amazement wore off the numerous areas of the world still instilled feeling. After five years of waiting I think we would've played anything with the Zelda logo on it, but Nintendo gave the world to absolute best game it could, hands down. Five years extremely well spent.
