Good ol' game shows its flaws

Most of the inflated scores you see for this game are fueled by nostalgia. Reviewed using a current perspective, OoT is a good game with its flaws. The graphics are dated (of course it's a 10 year old game), the animations are choppy, the sound is cheap sounding (midi, don't make me laugh). Managing your inventory is done with a clumsy menu (Water temple + iron boots = tedious pain).

Sure the game industry owes a lot to OoT for some of its innovations back then (camera control, lock-on combat, puzzles), it's aged harshly and hardly deserves a score of a perfect 10.
