Timeless classic from journey to end!
In the game, you start off as a young boy name Link that must travel through 2 time periods to stop the evil Ganondorf from taking the 2 remaining pieces of the Triforce in order to take over Hyrule. By completing this, Link must use a powerful instrument known as the Ocarina of Time to play a variety of amazing melodic tunes to process his mission. So yes the Ocarina plays a major role in the game in order to proceed and trust me, playing the instrument while playing memorable tunes is absolutely astounding that I never get tired of it (ok I'm getting sentimental here lol)!
Since this is the first 3D Zelda game, the gameplay is pretty much the same from the previous Zelda titles with some new mechanics; Lock-on! The lock-on lets you target your enemies much easier without just slashing them aimlessly. Also you're able to hold 3 items this time around without constantly pressing start to switch into one item at a time (though these same principles still apply here, especially in the Water Temple...ugh!).
The music, not to mention the melodies you play throughout the game, is beautiful! The soundtrack is unforgettable and it may lead you crying. Once you boot up the game and listen to the opening sequence, you'll be amaze of what this game will bring to the table because it's THAT good!
Overall Ocarina of Time is an astounding game, full of beauty & nostalgia that it just never gets old! I still play this game to this day and I never grow bored of it. I myself own 3 versions of it; Collector's Edition, Master Quest and even the 3D version for the Nintendo 3DS. Yes, take if from a huge Zelda fan here because I definitely love this game! Please play this amazing game, 10/10!!!
