If you have a Nintendo DS, you simply must play Zelda's first DS title: Phantom Hourglass.
The cut scenes... I won't spoil, but they are fantastic. Get ready to be excited over a DS games' previews, because they are pretty darn good. The story is amazingly told (to be expected for a zelda title) and you will find yourself looking forward to the next one rather than wishing the gameplay would just start again. As usual the characters don't talk, but the day they do will be a very bad day indeed because a majority of fans do not wish to put Links' Voice in the hands of a voice actor and would consider it blasphemy if Nintendo did.
I forgot to mention one of my favourite parts: sea voyages. Plot a course on your map and go! It works realy quite well and leaves you free to do battle against other boats, or avoid dangerous creatures or hazards while your captain does all the moving for you. But allow me to tell you the worst part of the game, so bad in fact it made me lower the score: The Temple of the Ocean King. Oh my gosh it is so annoying after a while! You need to go back there after each new temple (or sometimes 2) and do everything you already have done to progress to the next level and then those new floors! several times! GRR I hated it towards the end, besides the respite of skipping half the temple at one point in the game.
