Not brilliant

User Rating: 7 | The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword WII
This game is worth playing but not as brilliant as the other 'big' Zelda games (Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess).
I've finished Skyward Sword in two weekends (daytime :-). The puzzles and temples are not very challenging. The fights are easy, even the final battle was a piece of cake.

There were also some aspects about the game that I found quite annoying:
- There's a lot of repetition in the game: in fights and in temples/environments.
- I also pushed the A-button more than a thousand times, because there was a lot of story telling and talking.
- There's not a lot to discover. In the other Zelda games there are a lot of hidden surprises, in Skyward Sword not too much.
- What really annoyed me was Fi, she has a very 'binding nature'. She kept beeping when I had to dowse (dowsing is quite boring) or when my hearts went low (not good, in the middle of a fight). Fi also forced me to listen to a lot of observations that were quite obvious (example: a door opens, Fi pops up and says that I probably - 80% chance - should enter....duh).

Let me end my review with some positive remarks, about aspects that make the game worth playing:
- The Wii controller with motion plus responded very well.
- I also liked the way monsters anticipated my movements.
- the games design is beautiful.
