I love The Legend of Zelda, but this one game was really disappointing.

Let´s start with what was really disappointing. (Please don´t be mad because of my bad English skills)

1) Zelda is without a ferry. Maybe this is a little bit personal, but Link without a ferry flying around him and give stupid advices?? I always loved them... I want my ferry back! Not the spirit of Princess Zelda...

2) Graphics: I know the DS has it´s limits and the graphics are very good in all villages and temples, but the areas looks so stupid when you travel. The wood, the land, the snow cage, everything is separated through a thin PICTURE of trees. In the woods every tree is also just a 2D-picture. But also every Area is just so boring, maybe there is a tree or two and some stones... wow... but that´s it? And why is the hole snow area so deserted? There is nothing between the temple and the shrine, you travel hopefully through the hole area to find out that there is nothing interesting...
The only real cool area is at the sea. There they made different zones, a beach and the islands and there is a lot to discover. This can maybe make up that we can catch bunnies running ON the water there....

3) Challenging: Why are the games become easier and easier? I remember N64 times where you really have to do something to defeat an enemy. But somehow that doesn´t work for Nintendo anymore. The temples are shorter, the enemies weaker. And the enemies also seem like Nintendo has no knew ideas for new enemies. Another big insect, another fire-ice magician.... and so on.

4) Story and Characters:
There is this new species. Dwarfs sitting in mini-trains... Kind of weird... And the deamon? Who is that? Where is Ganondorf?
That there is no real Zelda-timeline is ok, but this time the story is made up out of thin air. The deamon is banned from rails... And I found at the homepage that this should be 100 years after Zelda: Phantom Hourglass... that doesn´t work ether...

But the game also has charm:

The idea of travelling around with a train is somehow nice, the villiages are designed with love and I liked to meet known faces.
