Like all Zelda games it follows the same format. The train is a gimmick that gets old after a while. Descent game tho.

Like all Zelda games this one follows the same basic format. Take Phantom Hourglass, exchange the boat for a train, and you basically have Spirit Tracks. The game play is virtually identical to PH, although there are a few things that make ST stand out. I enjoyed playing the game and looked forward to opening the DS for another round of play.

Only two things bugged me. First, is the increasingly growing tower that you have to climb. Toward the end of the game you have several flights to get to the top and you can actually get dizzy going round and round the spiral staircase. The other issue is the final battle. I thought the multi-phase boss was a bit too difficult. After several hours of dungeons, traps, and battles, I'm looking forward to the end. I don't need to plod through the same boss battle over and over until I get just the right sequence of moves. I feel that I've paid my dues. I've gotten this far. The final battle should be fun, not tedious.

All in all, if your a Zelda fan, it's a must have. If Zelda makes you go "meh", then skip it.
