The Minish Cap is a surprisingly well-made attachment to the Zelda series. It's almost perfect in every aspect.

When this game was first announced, I thought it looked pretty unattractive. It looked like it didn't have the feel like the Oracle of Ages/Seasons. But when my brother bought, I tried it and couldn't stop playing. The game is surprisingly addictive and extremely well-made. Although it has little to do with Zelda, except when she gets turned to stone, it's a great game indeed. The game is very derived from the windwaker. The art structure is exactly the same and new added sound effects, as well as new gameplay have made this game far much better than it's previous GB predecessors. The graphics are well illustrated and it's quite crisp. The bad part is that the aerial view is getting old and the only good illustrated objects are Link, Ezlo, and Zelda. Everything else is a bit basic. But nonetheless, it's exceeds in having awesome graphics. The Sound is even better. Now there is no 8-bit sound. It's all pre recorded loops of a real person sounding like Link. It's a huge advancement from its previous game for GB. The sound is all mono, but it is still very well done for a game this small. The gameplay is nearly perfect. Everything can be fit into place and used at certain times of the game. It's not like those games that use the item once and discard them. This is a curricular game that uses everything in everything. I just don't like the 2 button system. I always have to keep pressing start to change useable items and it gets annoying when you are in a boss fight. But as shallow as it can get, this game goes a long way past the 10 ft deep benchmark. It's amazing.
