Another Nintendo Masterpiece! The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker is nothing but a work of art, say for a few things...

The very first time I played The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, I must admit I was a bit doubtful. Already the long long opening sequence made me want to turn my console off, but then, just as I was about to lose my nerves with the game, the intro ended and a beautiful scenery opened before me along with very well made and appropriate for the game type music. After that very moment I was totally sold to this game. I was playing it all the time. The story was excellent, the characters had real personality, the animation in the game brought some great new ideas about what games can look like in the 21st century and the gameplay was created very well. The story in the game is this: A long, long time ago there was a kingdom, which was totally destroyed by the a man called Ganondorf, the king of evil. At the final hours of the people of this world prayed for the gods to help them. Then a boy dressed in green appeared riding on his horse to the rescue. This boy was referred to as ''The Hero''. The Hero defeated Ganondorf, but it was too late. The kingdom was destroyed. Some people however survived and passed on the legend of this magical kingdom and the evil Ganondorf as well as The Hero to the following generations. Now many, many, many years later a boy wakes up to an unforgettable adventure on his birthday... Evil has begun growing out on the Great Sea and once this boys sister gets kidnapped, he sets off to rescue his beloved sister and fight off the evil Ganondorf for once and for all! As mentioned above, the music, graphics/animations, gameplay and story in the game are magnificent. However like any game, The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker has its ins and outs too. After playing for a long time the music may start to get irretating, allthough there is a vast selection of it. Every island has a unique tune, and none of the tunes are so short that you will be hearing something oddly familiar half a minute into the game. There really is'nt anything to mention about the graphics/animations, since they are some of the most well made creations from Nintendo to date. The gameplay is also excellent except for two things: There is way too much ocean in the game, causing the player to sail for a long time, even to destinations that would seem to be rather close by on the Ocean Chart. Also the game suffers from some occasional camera-angle problems, such as when you get into a tight spot with some 10 or so enemies around you. In a situation like this you usually end up losing some life because of having to change your camera-angle at the moment that an enemy is trying to jump you from behind. As with the graphics/animations, the story has nothing to complain about. It's interesting, it's long and challenging, there's lots of fun minigames available here and there and the story has some nice twists and turns every now and then. Overall The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker is an excellent game, which can absolutely be considered one of Nintendos and infact the whole gaming-histories greatest games. The Goods & The Bads + Great Story + Great Gameplay + Different Approach On Games + Nice Music - Music May get Boring After Playing For A Long Time - Occasional Camera-Angle Problems - Too Much Sailing On A Way Too Large Ocean
