Not only, is this game pure gold, but its also pure fun!
With the "Toon-shaded" shaded graphics, Nintendo has been getting a lot of beef from gamers who obviously haven't played Zelda for a long time, or just haven't played this game at all! It takes a few moments to adjust to it, sure, but after about a half an hour, you realize that it's the same old Zelda that we know and love. I feel that they did us a favor by showing off what they can do with the series. Not only is Link's face contain WAY MORE expression, but the entire game just feels like artwork that was done carefully.
The Audio doesn't dissapoint either. Each creature has its own very unique growl, scream, laugh, etc. Link returns with the normal yells and squeals, but once again no one wants to mess up Links' or anyone elses' voice, so they decided to use text instead of voice overs. This isn't necessarily a bad thing for two reasons:
1) Someone is sure to complain about it no matter what
2) People who enjoy reading will like this (and those that don't shouldn't have a big problem because you've played Zelda before)
Now, I am not going to lie to you. This game is very difficult if you don't get used to the controls easily (even if you do, it will still be a fun challenge). With over ten different bosses (all of which are amazing), you should have a fun time getting through this game.
Overall, this game is a pure joy to play. Not only will you get used to the graphics and sounds, you will begin to appreciate them. Hey, and at an average price tag at $20, you can't go wrong! Pick this one up!
