Surprisingly good game.

I haven't played this game in a while, and that is how I know it is good. When I decided to get a PS3, I had to sell some old Gamecube games, and both Twilight Princess and the Wind Waker went, as well as Star Fox Assault and SSB. On reflection, we should either have just kept these games (maybe not Assault) or gotten an Xbox-360 instead. Whatever. Anyhow, before I sold it, I thought Twilight Princess was better because it is more 'epic'. Now though, I realized that of the two Zeldas, the one that I actually miss is Wind Waker. I believe the reason I miss it is that it was DIFFERENT from the rest of the series. It was an engaging game about exploration, with a close family, enjoyable characters, what in fact was a fairly epic storyline on reflection, and a beautiful and different art style. Also, great music. This game is fantastic, blending all that is great of an epic fantasy tale with good elements of a fun and innocent adventure game. And I cannot stress the term 'adventure' enough. All the islands to explore, and the characters to interact with. You can save families from themselves, encourage love, explore strange islands and find mystic treasure, plough the high seas and even become a master swordsman. And those were all SIDE quests. The only problem I truly have with it is the sheer length of time it takes to sail between islands, and the anticipation it fosters in your arrival at your destination is worth the wait. Oh yeah, you can also buy a house. Pretty much only Fable III looks like a worthy match to this game, and THIS one is for all ages. And Fable III isn't out yet.
