It's fun, but not as good as other Zelda games
Th game has interesting dungeons, and great fighting, and good boss fights, but a lot of your time in the game will be spent in a boat going from island to island, this can quickly becomes very annoying. More of the game is water then land, but at least the land parts are fun. You don't do much in the water, just move around in a boat, going from island to island, this may have been more interesting if it wasn't so common and long. But the land is very fun, and you don't really spend that much time in the boat, it just seems like it.
The sound effects and music are great, and suit the atmosphere very much. It adds to the cartoony fell of this game, but at times, the cartoony feel adds some problems.
for example, the boss fights just aren't as intense as they were in previos 3D zelda games like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. For example, The battle with Ganon doesn't fell like a great and intense battle between good and evil, rather more of a cartoon battle against a good guy and a baddie. Also, playing as a kid, makes ganon just look like a weakling being beaten by a kid, rather then a great king of evil being beaten by a fierce, couragous adult(or teenage, not real sure what age he was later in Ocarina of time) warrior. This doesn't mean it's not as fun though, it just takes away the dark and intense atmospher of previous games.
Many weapons return, and are fun to use, and look good in cartoon form, and don't act much differently to what they have in previos Zelda games. Some Bosses from previos games appear in Wind Waker too, but also, some new bosses are around as well.
Wind Waker is a good game, it may not be the best Zelda game, but any Zelda fan should play this game.
