This game was just so... average. The one thing that I took away from this game upon completing it was that Nintnedo just didn't seem to care this time around. Gameplay: Same old same old. Swing the sword with B, hotkey items to your other buttons. If you've played a 3D zelda before, this gameplay is exactly the same. Graphics: I would say the graphics are mid last gen. They should have been better with all the time Nintendo had with this one. I found that I eventually got tired of the square headed baddies and poorly textured ivy. Sound: No voice acting?! Is this a joke? In a game like Zelda where you are supposed to be immersed in the story, the cutscene stops in the middle so I can hit A when I'm done reading the caption. Background music and sound effects are average IMO. Nothing special about them, nothing terrible about them... Except on one of the last dungeons, I forget the exact name of it (City in the Sky?) the background music is terrible and you will play this one on mute, I promise.
Value: There is a serious lack of side quests in this one. I didn't even realize there were a few of them until I read an online guide after I completed the game to see what I missed. Remember in OOT when you wanted to collect items like the bigger sword?, not here, unless you want to buy some rupee stealing magic armor. Also worth a mention, there is a 50 room baddie dungeon, good luck stumbling across it unless you read an online guide.
Tilt: Its a Zelda game, it was fun. Just not what I expected it to be. Did I also mention that it was easy? The bosses of the dungeons were so easy that I really didn't look forward to playing them. The other problem is that you don't get that sense of accomplishment feeling that you should after you beat a dungeon in Zelda. Bottom Line: This game is just average as Nintendo seemed to have forgotten to include the little things.
