But there are some which have and Zelda is one of them. The game boasted great graphics for its day, a good range of sound effects and of course the ability to save your progress.
In many cases the game goes unnoticed due to is age but we shouldn’t forget that so many games have been based or used ideas from this game. Even games like Elder Scrolls, Kameo and Dark Cloud all feel like Zelda games.
It is a shame that over the years the Zelda games have lost there roots ( Majoras Mask and Wind Waker) although Ocarina of Time showed us that Zelda can work in 3D very well, Zelda 1 is a game that should be played by every RPG fan or anyone who likes adventure games, just remember that although the games seems basic today, it was fantastic at its release.
