Hack and slash your way through Middle-Earth - for either side of the war!
You hack and slash your way through Middle-earth as either a mage, archer or warrior with the ability to change to a different class each time you get slaughtered on the battle field, while this may be viewed as annoying to some (the lack of a level up system / items to equip) I personally took a liking to this unique game system, if at first you don't succeed on a quest try a different battle class! Conquest also has the option to play as other creatures from time to time such as Ent's and Sauron himself even making an appearance.
Just when you think the game is over and finished, you unlock the dark side, re-playing every level again as Saurons army instead of the humans with entirely different quests and characters.
The sound is a bit of a let down, as the constant repetitive noise caused by the clash and bang of swords and armour can become quite irritating, especially for the person sitting next to you!
Sound and not so great graphics aside Lord of The Rings: Conquest provides a great gaming experience, a worthy addition to the collection of Nintendo DS RPG gamers - especially those who are fans of Lord of the Rings.
