Lotr Conquest is a very fun game, with patience that is. It can get annoying when being attacked and unable to get up. This takes away from the game play as it can become very frustrating not able to get back up and suddenly dieing. The characters are ranger, mage, warrior, and scout. All of them are pretty evenly equal and are none are too overpowered. The mage can be somewhat overpowered though for he can heal himself. Also, after gaining enough points (killing, capturing command posts) you can become a hero such as Gandalf, Sauron, or even Frodo. The maps are great looking and resemble the movie exactly how they look. The graphics are not the best for character designs but defiantly don't ruin the game. There are two campaigns and both take about 2 - 4 hours to complete. One featuring the forces of good ( War of the Ring ) and the other focusing on evil. ( Rise of Sauron ) Both campaigns don't follow the movie, but this game wasn't made for the movies. Since when did Gimili ever face Sauron or the Mouth of Sauron anyways.?? After completing the two campaigns you can do them again but on Legendary, play Instant Action (which is the same as the one on Battlefront but with Lotr maps and troops) or play on Xbox Live which I personally haven't tried but have heard positive feedback about it. The game is to short and feels like there should be one or two more game modes. Overall, Lotr Conquest is a great idea and had great results. But this game is a hack n' slash and can be frustrating. You should definitely rent this under appreciated game.
Pros: Great looking maps / level design Campaigns are very unique; each one is different Hero team death-match (Assault)
Cons: Frustrating being pinned down To short Character designs could be better.
