LoTR + RPG = awesome! Nothing left to say!

The Third Age is yet another installment in the ever-growing set of LoTR based games. It is revolutionary, however, due to its being a turn-based RPG instead of a straight-up action style game, as are most of the others on the PS2. The storyline is well played out, and gameplay is satisfactory. Sure, there could be more bells and whistles, but the game is certainly not lacking. The opening battle is great because it is certainly not what is expected. Although a few parts are a bit slow, the overall pace is decent, and for any LoTR fan, taking their time is the only way to go anyhow. The world is well crafted and accurate, leaving little to ask for. This game has everything you'd look for in a good RPG, just nothing extra. Perhaps it could be better? Who knows, I'm quite satisfied with it as it is, and chances are, you will be too.
