If you liked the movie, you'll like the game. That's the bottom line here. I don't see why people are complaining so much about it. I personally liked the game a great deal and beat it with each character (Gimli, Legolas, and Aragorn). I personally liked playing Gimli the best, maybe it's because I've always like playing dwarves in D&D, who knows. Basically, Gimli is the strongest out of the group, Legolas the most agile, and Aragorn the most balanced. Each have their own touches which makes playing through the game a challenge for some parts than others for each character. The graphics were quite good, not the best on the ps2, but still good nonetheless. The gameplay took a little bit getting used to but you get accustomed quickly. The gaining experience to gain better weapons or better combos was interesting as well. The sound was great, the effects making it seem like you're right there fighting the orcs. I do wish though that I had waited for the price to drop though. I don't think the game was worth $50, but oh well, that's the price to pay. It is a hack and slash game, yes. Does it get annoying at times, yes. It's nothing so terrible that one should lower the scores because of it. Also, a comment to earlier reviews, Frodo never did anything in the Two Towers movie, so it makes sense he doesn't do anything in the game either.
