This game had so much hype and potential surrounding it, that it was probably on everyone's mind that this game was going to be amazing. Unfortunately, this is yet another LOTR game that falls short of the epicness of the movies and books.

First off, the game was by far WAY too easy and WAY too short. I completed the game with a friend in just under 20 hours. Once we got the hang of the controls, we barely died anymore and it just seemed like we were overpowered. We figured that it was just a build up to a point that would get more difficult.

Out of nowhere, we were facing Agandaur and the fight lasted maybe 2 minutes. It was one of the easiest boss fights I've ever taken part in. All we did was spam our special abilities and heal inside the bubble that Andreal casts, and it was simple.

Snowblind has never made any amazing games, IMO. And to think that they would do a good job with such an amazing license as LOTR, was probably expecting too much. Their only claim to fame is that they made it more violent. Wow. Good job, Snowblind. You've taken a great license, and **** all over it. You've pushed back the release of this game 2-3 times to deliver a giant piece of crap. Had the game been the normal length of an RPG and would take weeks to beat, I'd have been more satisfied. When you hear RPG, you expect an epic, long, story driven adventure. LOTR: WITN falls short on every level as far as I'm concerned.

The characters models were decent, the backgrounds were very detailed, but maybe if there was more effort put into the actual gameplay and length, it would have been better. I'm playing this to have fun, not look at detailed backgrounds.

The difficulty was laughable. After dying in the beginning a few times we got the hang of it very quickly. We died (all 3 characters down) maybe a total of 10 times the entire game. And having to revive characters became less and less frequent until it was non-existant. Again, the game was too simple, too short, and not epic enough for a LOTR game.

I can't believe a crappy dev like Snowblind got their hands on this. Nothing but disappointment. You can beat this game in under 2 days. Rent it, and forget about it.
