Path Of Neo
User Rating: 7.5 | The Matrix: Path of Neo PS2
well I bought it today around 11:00am and i was pretty excited to see what it's potential was. first off the graphics are like Enter The Matrix, but a tad bit better. It's not as buggy, and it's doesn't slow down as much as everyone says it does (Well the xbox community says it does, and has been complaining about it since it came out.) Camra's aren't bad but tend to go close up sometimes when your fighting, and it becomes a pain in the as*, and button mashing is a pain in the as* sometimes too, like it doesn't do what you want it to sometimes. The game was rather short, people are saying it takes about 12 hours to beat it but it was more like 10 hours for me, i got it at 11:00am and beat it at 9:00pm. The Action, and the combat, especially the melee and guns are awesome and fun, it 's the best part of this game. They stick to the original story in the first movie, but it tends to go off into something different in the second movie, the only thing they stuck to in the second movie was the burly brawl, the fight scene in marovigians mansion, and the hidden hall of doors, and a miniture fight scene in with the meeting when you first see neo with his new powers beating the crap out of the upgrades, the third movie is really short there wasn't even a third movie it was just the fight scene at the end with Agent Smith, these fight scenes are rather long and give you a lot of time to play around, and kick some butt. honestly the begining of the game was more fun then the rest of the game, and also the movie scenes they put in the movie tend to go back and forth they are all scrambled together so if you never watched the movies you probably won't understand why or what they are trying to do with that cause i've seen the movies and i didn't even understand it. it made no sense. There is a lot of new stuff and bosses. most of the second movie is new stuff and like i said doesn't really stick to movie scene's to much. honestly they could have put more flying and made it cooler to like more free will. you can see that they pretty much rushed this game, and didn't put as much thought into it or as many movie scene's in it as i thought they would they left a lot of important stuff out. But if your a matrix fan i recommend you buy it, it's the game for you better then The Matrix Online, and Enter The Matrix, a lot better. But if you have never seen the movie's and aren't really a matrix fan rent it first. Personally i enjoyed it for what it's worth, but i wouldn't say it was worth $49.99. Also the Voice acting sounds pretty bad like they just ripped some words from the movies, and got some people to voice over the characters, the Audio is good, visuals aren't great but it's pretty good for PS2. and the ending is just either rediculously stupid, or funny i can't decide yet but you may be dissapointed becuase i know what your thinking it was going to be, and i thought that to but it's not. you'll see. have fun.
