A decent game, better than the first.

User Rating: 7.5 | The Matrix: Path of Neo PS2
I'm sure many Matrix fans remember the first attempt at a Matrix game, Enter the Matrix. While it was an interesting side story, the game itself carried many flaws. Path of Neo seems to have fixed many of those flaws, and added some quirks of it's own.

The story literally follows the movies in their entirety, adding a few parts. It even adds the training mission that the movies skipped through. From fighting Morpheus, the giant battle against Smith, all up to the revised ending, made specifically for the game. The battles are fun, but you might find them repetitive, using the same moves over and over. The upgrade system is kind of confusing as well, and the secret upgrades at the end aren't usually helpful.

The game unfortunately tries to add some comedy, but this only detracts from it, and makes the sound-alike for Keanu Reeves sound less like, well, Keanu Reeves. But in the end, this game will be enjoyable for any Matrix fan, or it will be the worst game they have ever played.
