The Movies was a great game in its own right, combining tycoon style gameplay with the freedom of making your own movies. Stunts and Effects puts the emphasis on the latter, with new sets, costumes ans stuntmen.

While it doesn't add much to the campaign, those that enjoy making their own movies will love the additions of Stunts and Effects, such as stuntmen, cool special effect sets, and freecam. While this may mean that the other part of the game (the tycoon gameplay element) is pushed to the sideline, it does mean that the game finally has a sense of direction (more or less).

With the same quirky humour that was apparent in the original, and gameplay elements that will make for some interesting movie making moments, Stunts and Effects is an addition that feels like its part of the original, which is either an incredibly good thing, or a very very bad thing...

If you like the movie making portion of the game, then you will love Stunts and Effects, if you like the tycoon portion of the game, don't expect too much to change.
