Beautifully executed. However, managing the stars' needs later in the game becomes a pain. The interface isn't great.

I really liked playing this game for the first 30 or so (game) years, but it eventually became such an annoyance to manage everything, I found myself just wanting to play something else.

At the start when you only have a few stars, it's easy to keep them content. But once you have many stars and are having to film multiple movies at once to keep your studio in the green, it becomes a real pain. They want a raise, they want a better trailer, they want a makeover way too often, they get jealous of other stars' salary/trailer... etc.

The interface also seems to go downhill as the game progresses. At first you only have a few star icons to the left of the screen, but after a while it turns into a massive list of stars and directors. The icons collapse when not used and don't expand as quickly as they should. As a result, it's hard to find a particular actor or director you're looking for. Everything felt disorganized to me.

All in all it's a great game though. Maybe I'll just try playing with only a few good actors and directors. Or perhaps the sandbox mode will offer something new.
