After all these years, I've yet to find a tetris that plays better than 'The New Tetris". The Multiplayer modes entertained me and my friends for months, and the addition of the silver and gold blocks added a great new level of strategy and depth without being untrue to the core gameplay. This version also introduced the save a piece function that has become essential to the Teris game. The music was enjoyable, even without the classic russian music, as were the various backgrounds. The wonders of the world built from Tetris pieces added that 'collectability' element that keep you playing that one more time.
