Good waste of time.
The sound and acting is a pretty big turn-off, although Jane lends his voice again to the title character and does a mostly solid job. The gameplay is all over the place, but for the most part is pretty decent. The graphics were better than I had expected ( dug the hell out of the blood splatter's on the wall after pumping slugs into to some foolish thug ). Don't get me wrong though, with a name like the Punisher, graphics should have been better. But then again with a THQ game, I'm not surprised that my expectations were spoiled.
Playing this game in general was very fun though, but a bit on the repetitive side -- OK, ALOT on the repetitive side. Level 1 was a good old fashioned blood romp and then a few levels of "Err" and "Oh yeah -- Sigh". But the Funeral Parlor level? That was my favorite. Popping out of the casket and doing dirt work on some unsuspecting mob chumps. Awesome fun to be had there.
I liked the special interrogation and kills that you could perform, those were a major plus. But even those specialties couldn't save this game from total mediocrity. So, buy it cheap like I did or just rent it.
