Gameplay: Revenge of Shinobi is an action packed game, where you walk through side-scrolling levels. You often encounter enemies that are under covered ninjas, so have to shoot them with knifes. But don't waste your knifes, you'll end up running out of them. There are multiple types of ways to go through stages, so you'll have to know many moves in order to complete the game. Going through some stages can be tough. But progressing through the game is completely worth it. This game really showcasted, that the Genesis had fun exciting games when it came out before Sonic debuted in 1991. Graphics: Nice job for an early Genesis game. I've seen some better looking Genesis games then this, but still, it's decent enough, even for a 1989 game. Very old-School. Sound: This was Yuzo Koshiro's first try in game music. And he makes a marvelous start with the Genesis sound chip by making memorable songs from this game. This game has a nice fit which makes me think of the 1980's. Conclusion: It may not be the best game for the Genesis, but it was certainly real cool back in 1989. There are many things in this game that make people want to play it again and again. It was worth it when I got this game. I hope it would be worth owning for each of you gamers as well.
