The Secret of Monkey Island, is a game that was released before I was born and I wouldn't have heard of it if I hadn't been as lucky as I was in finding a copy in my house or no apparent reason, I didn't investigate the reason it was there because of the fact that I was five years old. However, I had no idea how lucky I was. The Secret of Monkey Island excels in every possible criteria. It is by far the funniest game I ahve ever played, its has a great plot and is very well written. It's antagonist's is one of the mos lovable video game characters of all time. Secondly, the game is very easily controlled with the simple point and click mechanism,. The puzzles are very smart, logilical funny and well written that they are more of a part of the story rather than individual puzzles. The graphics are great for the time it was relesed. By far this is the most enjoyable game I have ever played. It has a wonderful soundtrack. My one gripe with the game is that you have too much fun with it that it finishes too quickly leaving you wanting more. Thankfully a sequel has been released
