Feels like a different game... Not for the Better...

I have enjoyed the Settlers series since part 1 way back on my 486 or whatever old beather of a PC i was running at the time. That said up till this version of the Settlers there has been a common feel and theme. The graphics had always been simple enough but there was a certain comfort to the feel of the game that kept you coming back.

This game does upgrade the graphics a lot. That said i feel like i've been punted out of the Settlers wolrd into something much different and it feels like a completly different game. I find the new engine of building to be rather plain in fact i find a lot of the game to have a very "plain" feeling to it. It does not have the feel of a bustling city full of things going on. The odd cart booting around here and there and the terrain even at full detail feels bland.

Conclusion : Pass on this one it's a completly new game that needs to be taken back to the drawing board. Lets seee what Version 7 improves on.
