Simpsons Hit and Run is a great game. Basically, like GTA, you roam around the city of Springfield, and do missions for people. Eventually, these missions lead to a somewhat funny and stupid plot. The main story plot is: Whats the buzz about new BUZZ cola, Why are there so many black vans apparing around town, and why are there so many mechanical bees with cameras on them around town. You find out these mysteries by playing as Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge and Apu. The game starts off extremely easy at first, but by the time you get to Lisa's level, the game is starting to get much harder, and by the time you finally manage to pass Mission 5 of Apu (an annoying and hard mission), the game will start getting just a little frustrating as it will take several tries to beat the level. The gameplay is decent enough, offering some basic-action gameplay. The button structure is somewhat similar to Grand theft auto, with only a little that has changed. The obvious "car-jacking" is here too, however, for some reason, when you steal a car, the person who you stole it from will still be in the car... strange. The graphics are rather impressive, with nice 3D models of the characters, however, you do get quite a bit of slow down. Well, you do in the PAL version anyway. Sound-wise, the game is OK. Nothing too special here. Some of the music is pretty nifty. I would say that this game will take you around 15 - 20 hours gameplay time. Its not the longest game in the world, but neither is it short. There is some replay value because the missions are so fun you'll want to play it again. Overall 8.4
