Nothing to do? Then this expansion pack offers all-new exciting activities awaits Sims to enjoy in their free time.

User Rating: 9.5 | The Sims 2: FreeTime PC
This expansion pack aptly named Free Time, offers 10 new hobbies for Sims to pursue. Sims can choose Cuisine, Games, Sports, Tinkering, Arts, Music, Nature, Fitness, Science and Film & Literature as their favorite past time. Spending time doing activities related to the specific hobby will unlock various benefits, including a pass to secret lots (club houses of a specific hobby), and being "in the zone" where Sims' motives will decay much slower.

One main complaint about these hobbies is that they seem to be unbalanced. Arts and Craft and many new objects to interact to, while Science only has 3 to 5 objects to interact to. Sports and Fitness exhaust most of the Sims needs, while Film & Literature does not. This seem to hamper players choices to pursue their hobbies they like.

However, there are various objects that can satisfy any Sim fan, such as the basketball hoop, football net, pottery wheel, sewing machine, violin, children's activity table and so on.

Sims can now have rewards and benefits for reaching their aspiration, including the feature to have secondary aspiration and gain rewards according to the aspiration. Not to say it is necessary, but it gives more of a differentiation to each aspiration other than internal wants.

Moreover, five whole new career tracks featured in this expansion pack: Oceanography, Architecture, Dance, Entertainment and Intelligence.

To summarize, The Sims 2: Free Time offers so much to keep Sims fans content and playing Sims enjoyable.
